Franktech Metallurgical Services (Franktech) was born out of Frankwen Forge’s in-house test laboratory in January of 2003. The laboratory (i.e. in-house laboratory) was then renamed with the intention of divorcing testing from the parent company so as to provide complete impartiality to the testing activities and thus increasing the customer’s confidence level in the test results produced. 

 

The aim to take the Laboratory to the ultimate level of quality and service lead Franktech into attaining its SANAS (ISO 17025) accreditation in 2005 for a variation of testing activities and still continues to strive to expand its’s scope. The achievement of such an accreditation has since placed Franktech at the forefront in the field of metallurgical services in South Africa.
